Dumpster Permit Application
Dumpster permit application for temporary dumpster placement in Pottsville. Residents or contractors must apply for on-street (2-week validity) or off-street (6-month validity) placement, subject to police and health officer approval.
Permit Fees
- On-street placement: $25.00 (valid for two weeks)
- Off-street placement: valid for six months (fee not specified on form)
Dumpster Placement Requirements
- Customer is responsible for a wood pad at least 3/4 inch thick under wheels
- Dumpster company must have a minimum of 8-inch reflective material placed on all four sides of the container, with a minimum of four reflectors per side
- Reflective material must make the container visible at night and include company name and phone number on dumpster
- Dumpster must be placed at least 25 feet from intersection
- Dumpster cannot impede traffic
- If parking meters are present, customer must pay to have meters bagged
Approval
Police officer and health officer approval required. No Parking signs issued during placement must be returned when dumpster is removed.
